Experience Pottery in a 120-Year-Old Hand-Renovated Studio
サービス内容
Discover the joy of traditional Japanese craftsmanship in the heart of Osaka with this private pottery experience. Held in a beautifully renovated 120-year-old townhouse in the Karahori neighborhood, this hands-on workshop invites you to slow down and get creative in an inspiring, personal space. We’ll meet directly at the atelier, located just a short walk from Tanimachi 6-chome Station. Once inside, your local instructor—a professional ceramic artist who lives and works in this historic home—will guide you through the process of shaping your own original pottery piece using Shigaraki clay. No prior experience is needed. This two-hour experience is perfect for couples, friends, or families looking to connect with Japanese culture through art and creativity. At the end of the session, your piece will be carefully dried, glazed, and fired. Once complete, it will be shipped to your home as a lasting memory of your time in Osaka. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a returning clay lover, this experience offers a peaceful and personal encounter with Japanese tradition. You can choose between hand-building or using a potter’s wheel, depending on your preference and experience.
